Together with our new Emperor and Empress...

新しい「令和」の時代が始まって１か月がたった。数日前にはアメリカの大統領夫妻が来日して、新天皇・皇后両陛下と謁見されたが、そのニュースを追いながら、両陛下が日本の象徴でおられることに素直にうれしく思った。

国賓として大統領夫妻を会見や、宮中晩さん会でもてなされながら、両陛下は日本の天皇・皇后との威厳を放ちながら、素晴らしく、柔軟な外交力を通訳なしの英語力で示されていた。

特に皇后陛下の笑顔と美しさを際立っていたと思う。長く、俗に言われている皇室への適応障害の治療から、その回復を感じ安心し、その美しさに誇りを持った人たちは多いのではと思う。

One month just has passed since the new era, "Reiwa" started last month. a couple of days ago, U.S president and the first lady met our new Emperor, Naruhito and new Empress, Masako. Following the news of this event, I can't stop feeling that I'm so glad to have both of them as a symbol of Japan. 

While treating the President and the first lady as the state guest of Japan at the official meetings and the Imperial dining ceremony, not only they kept presenting dignity as the Emperor and Empress of Japan, but also they showed their amazing flexible diplomatic skills with their excellent command of English language without any interpreters. 

Especially, the Empress, Masako's smiles and elegance stood out. I'm sure that many Japanese must've felt relieved from her recovery after a long treatment of allegedly Adaption disorder to Imperial life and proud of her appearance in this state event.

先週は気温が３５度近くまで達するこの時期には異常気象だった。それも今は元にもどったようだ。

６月に数日間、旅をして訪ねたい場所があったが、先延ばしにすることにした。もうちょっと計画を練り直そうと思う。あとは仕事も今月はちょっと忙しくなる。

２００名近いEPA（経済連携協定）の介護・看護研修生が今の職場にまもなく到着する。あとはG２０がらみもあるし。特にG20はちょっと楽しみにしている。もちろん、ニュースを茅の外からフォローするだけだた、世界のトップリーダーたちが大阪に集う、その雰囲気は楽しめると思う。

It was very hot in weather last week reaching the temperature up to almost 35 degrees Celsius which was very very unusual around this time of season, but it is now back to normal. 

In June, I was planning to travel for a few days to places that I'm interested, but I decided to postpone it because I would like to make the plan better. And also because of my job which is getting a bit busier in this month. 

Close to 200 New EPA (Economic Partner Agreement) trainees in nursing care are arriving from Philippine and Indonesia in the facility where I work for. And plus things related to G20 Osaka summit meeting. Especially, I'm excited somehow that Osaka is hosting the G20, and many world top leaders are gathering here. Of course, I'm just following the news, but I guess that I could feel the atmosphere.   

とにかく、いつものように自分の人生は動くだけで、特に劇的な変化が新しい時代を迎えた後に起こったわけでもない。でも、いくらかの新しいフレッシュな雰囲気が生活の中にもたらされたような感はある。きっと他の人達の生活にもだろう。この新鮮な感じが時代を通じて維持されて欲しいなと思うし、その為に、私たち日本人は新しい天皇・皇后両陛下と共に努力を重ねていかなくてはいけないだろう。

日本がすばらしくありますように！

Anyway, my life keeps rolling as it usually is, and nothing has changed dramatically since the start of new era. However some new fresh feelings might have been brought from it in my life. And in every one's life as well. I hope that these fresh feelings are kept through the era. In order for that, we Japanese need keep making efforts together with the new Emperor and Empress.
