The midpoint of the year 2019
G20 Osaka Summit meeting ended yesterday. It was really a rare opportunity for Osaka to host the meeting inviting world political leaders. On the first day of G20 meeting on 28th, I went to Oomiwa Shrine in Nara and climbed in Mt. Miwa. On the way to Nara, I could easily avoid myself from the G20 traffic regulations in the center using public transportation.
Before getting on a train, I bought a cup of coffee in a convenience store, and finished it in the train. When I tried to throw the empty cup into a trash bin in Tennoji station, the bin was shielded due to the G20 special alert. No choice but to keep it to Nara and throw it away there. That was the only thing I was bothered by G20.
I was not sure if the weather holds through the day because the seasonal rain front just became activate at the same timing of G20 meeting. From the forecast, I was initially planing to go there on 25th which was completely a perfect sunny weather, but my body was too stiff to go out that day. Since I was also planning to visit Tobi Fudouin Temple on the 28th, I chose the 28th to avoid the double expense in transport. My choice was right, and it was mostly cloudy, but partially sunny in the morning.
The Oomiwa Shrine gate looked solemnly in the background view of the holy woods, and I felt awe-inspired and stretched my posture up-straight to pass the gate. Around 8 o'clock in the morning, there were still few visitors and the morning silence still remained well. The cleaning staff was sweeping with a broom, and the Shinto priests and maidens were preparing for the day. In the everyday routine, we can clearly see the beginning of the day.
Before climbing in Mt. Miwa, I purified myself passing through "Chinowa" in a fixed traditional Shinto manner to let our Sin and Uncleanness I received for the half of the year. After that, I blew out my breath 3 times on a paper shaped like a person and rubbed it on my body. On the paper, my name and birth date were written in advance. This ritual manner helped us to ask the Shinto God to take care of our Sin and Uncleanness same as the above of "Chinowa". On the 30th today, it was the Summer purification day in Shintoism, but I didn't attend any ceremony anywhere this year, but I literately purified myself by doing those simple self-practices.
My schedule was so tight that day. I kept myself calm down while in the mountain, but I tried to walk and walk restlessly. On the way back near the entrance, I found a 10cm Fern Tree on the ground moving right and left. However no wind blew there. Since it was moving so restlessly as if waving a hand, I could not stop smiling at it. I got closer and bowed to it. Then it stopped suddenly. In the holy area, a spirit kindly might have come to say "Good bye" to me...
To the holy Mt. Miwa, we need to go though Sai Shrine in Oomiwa Shine which is famous for the holy mineral water. I bought a 2 liter bottle of water for my friend. If I lived near the shines, I would come everyday and try to climb in the mountain, but maybe too much. And so once in a month must be the best to moisture my throat with this holy water.
On the way to the station, I stopped by a local liquor shop to buy a bottle of a local Japanese Sake, "Mimurosugi" as well for the friend. I wanted to buy one also for myself, but I couldn't carry 3 bottles in my backpack. Next month!
Blue Sky again!
For the rest of the year, I wonder how the things would go. And I still have many things of "Gonna make This Year!", but I hope that it is gonna be less later in this year.
