Wishing a Happy Wedding...
After visiting 露天神社 (Tuyuno Tennjinnsha), I went to 御霊神社 (Goryou Jinjya Shrine) later in the morning by walk. It was my second time to visit there. My first time was in July last Summer.
I sometimes walk down through 御堂筋 (Midousuji Street) from Umeda to Namba. It is always a refreshing walk especially in the evening mild climate. When I heard a sound of Japanese traditional festive musical instruments being played from somewhere around, I was almost passing 本町 (Honmachi) area which is one of business districts on 御堂筋 (Midousuji Street).
Being led by the sounds of Japanese drums, flutes and bells along with the cheerful energy in the Summer heat, I easily guessed that a Summer Festival must be taking place at a shrine around here.
In this modern era compared to my childhood, these kinds of fests are taking place less and less. In order for us to protect and inherit the tradition to the next generation, we need to make efforts obtaining cooperation from locals which is related to people's faith for what they believe.
I believe that the level of this local people's faith must be very strong and deep. And that's why this shrine is strong enough yet to maintain the level of good vibes and attract people here.
My neighborhood has fortunately these kinds of fests taking place occasionally following the calendars. I recently read a book about Spiritualism which says that Human's faith and worship gives a vitality to the Gods. I totally agree. And then the Gods becomes strong enough to protect the people and community.
When I was a kid, I really loved my hometown's annual Summer Fest taking place at a local shrine. However it already went out of fashion long time ago. People are forgetting the power of faith day by day. It's a very pity anyway...
I visited this 御霊神社 (Goryou Jinjya Shrine) again because my niece's wedding party is taking place at a hotel near by in this community soon. I just wanted to greet the God worshiped in this town and shrine to seek for a blessing to my niece's wedding.
I was very surprised with the atmosphere when entering the shine.. Very very gentle, mild and relaxing vibes filled in the shrine. It was completely different from the festive atmosphere, but I soon became to like this shine. I will probably come stop by if I take a walk again on the 御堂筋 (Midousuji Street).
By coincidence or not, my niece must be already receiving a blessing from the God of 御霊神社 (Goryou Jinjya Shrine) that she is having a wedding in this community. I'm very happy about it. Furthermore, it is said that the God of 御霊神社 (Goryou Jinjya Shrine) is giving us a divine favor in relationship.
By the way, how come I keep being led to shrines in this 中央区 (Chuou-ku/-ward), Osaka since last year soon after coming back from Ishigaki.
Anyway, I will find out the reasons sooner or later.
