Paying a visit of thanks...
It's been just one year since my mother fell in sick on 22nd of February last year, and was transferred to the Kobe University Hospital next day. She was diagnosed with Pulmonary Artery Thrombosis.
On the 22nd, I was on the way back from Hokkaido, and actually staying in Osaka to catch a fight for Ishigaki next morning. Everything turned out to be the best timing in the end recalling that my sister informed me of my mother's hospitalization after I got back to Ishigaki.
Due to my duties at work, it took me a week later to go back home. However I could make it to visit the hospital on the day of her operation on time, and I didn't have to leave my duties untouched.
She fully recovered from her sickness now after one year, and her life is now back to normal as before. At least, she was not paralyzed or else at all which I believe must've be a blessing from the Gods.
Soon after she was hospitalized in Kobe University Hospital, I immediately paid a visit to greet the God and spirits of 湊川神社 (Minatogawa Shrine) near the hospital showing my gratitude in advance of getting her blessed while being hospitalized. Every time I visited my mother at the hospital, I never missed to greet them.
Soon after she got out of hospital, I immediately went to the shrine again to show my gratitude for all the arrangements done. However after one year, I paid a visit again of official thanks to them with a full big bottle of Japanese Sake.
I've never done this practice before, and so I read books and searched on the internet for the how to. It was a great opportunity for me to learn this very important manner;
"Do not forget to pay a visit of thanks!"
Next morning, I also paid a visit of thanks to a shine in my home town as well in the same manner.
Well, all the timings were perfect.
I was already determined to leave my previous job before my mother's hospitalization in March next month, but thanks to that, I could take care of my mother for 2 months in April and May, and I moved back to Nagai in June...
In total, I was unemployed exactly for 6 months, but enjoyed myself the moment by moment until I luckily got a new job in October.
On 22nd of February next year in 2019, they will be celebrating their 50th anniversary of marriage by coincidence. Another magical number;
"222"
Don't you think, "Isn't it too good to be true???"
Anyway, we'll see it next year...
