Life with photography...

It took me more than one year to start taking photos actively by my SLR (Single Lens Reflex) camera after purchasing EOS Kiss X7. Up until two month ago, belive it or not, it was placed in the storage of my room.

I kept taking photos by iPhone (4S, 5S and 7S) for years, and gradually build up my photography skills. IPhone technically is very simple and easy for me to take photos as they newly update the functions by each version.

And the quality of photos went up very well even tough it was taken by a mobile phone which sometime can't tell difference between SLR and iPhone in image.

I try to find objects for my photography intuitively. I don't say I hear any voice or any kind, but my kind of sixth sense feels grab the moments easily. Or just bumping into them by chance.

I didn't learn anything about photography professionally. I always learn it by myself. And the iPhone doesn't require me any special skills and knowledge cause the functions do make any shots look nice decently.

As for SLR, however, it is a different story as it has more complicated functions which make what I can't do by my iPhone possible. I read the user's guide book of my EOS Kiss X7, but I make many mishandling of the functions, and miss the moments.

My current wish is to seek for an opportunity to learn "How to" from anyone professional taking classes. I just need to learn the basics properly and some advanced skills. Then I take not only photos of nature, but also more photos of humans to express their inner spirituality.

We are now in a period of お盆 (Obon), and a festival is taking place at 四天王寺 (Shitennouji) . I'm going there in this evening to take photos of lanterns hung inside the temple grounds.

Let's see how it goes...
