To the Japan's most worshiping sanctuary...
The one of most advantageous factors as being single is the flexibility of time scheduling. As long as I don't make any fixed appointments with anybody, I can reschedule as I wish depending on how I feel that day...
I went to Ise, Mie prefecture to visit "Ise Shrine", the most worshiping sanctuary in Japan. The original plan was tomorrow, but while having a breakfast in my room, I felt that I'd better do it today. After several day's cold weather, it was warmer and sunny in weather.
"Don't miss the moment, and just do it!"
It might have been a bit late to depart for Ise around 10 in the morning, but still enough time to spend there. I quickly made a petite lunch box for the day, and left my room.
I knew that this is the right day to visit Ise Shrine because I saw a few synchronicity signs on the way, and my heart was very relaxed about what I was doing.
I've been to Ise Shrine several times when I was working as a tour escort, but the first time by myself. I don't need to think about my clients and tour's time schedules. I spent the time as I wanted to feeling the energy of the most sacred sanctuary in Japan.
"Ise Shrine" is made of "内宮”(Naiguu) and “外宮”(Geguu) in 2 different areas. "内宮”(Naiguu) is worshiping for "天照大神”(Amaterasu Oomikami), the Japan's most high ranked God for the Sun. “外宮”(Geguu) is worshiping for ”豊受大神”(Toyouke no Ookami), the Goddess for Rich Harvest. Normally it is good to visit ”外宮” first, but I went to ”内宮” first not following the traditional custom for time scheduling.
Even though it was Thursday in weekdays, so many people was visiting ”内宮” (Naiguu) for worshiping. And ”おかげ横丁(Okage Yokocho), a shopping street for visitors was full of people. Very lively atmosphere! ”外宮”(Geguu) instead, less people and quieter. Some people visit only ”内宮”(Naiguu).
By visiting "Ise Shrine", I wanted to make my previous years' determination for this year very firm that I'm making it an amazing restart of the latter of my life with the beliefs and worships for divine spirits.
I'm just wondering how many shrines and temple I'm going to visit this year. Probably I may need to visit holy mountains for trekking. One of my goal's for this year to climb Mt. Fuji again in Summer.
While having one of Ise's souvenir specialties before catching a train back home, I was feeling that this is a trip only for myself. Not for anybody else's. The journey has finally started. I don't mean that the journeys I did so far is not for myself, but I kept feeling something different all the time which is very hard to explain.
I'm sure that the experience and knowledge in the previous life chapter is going to help me a lot.
And I'm already excited about it.
Where to for the next?
Masami
