The year 2017...
I have just finished the last shift at work for the year 2017. Fortunately I’be got time in the evening to spend a quiet and peacefull moment at home just waiting for the new year 2018.
It all went so fast during this year, and I'm now recalling the year 2017 that it might have turned out to be one of the most dynamic and dramatic years that I had ever had in my 44 years of my life so far. I did everything I was supposed to do. I went to the places that was supposed to. I met all the people that I was supposed to. And went through all the experience was supposed to.
I'm now back to my favorite town, Nagai feeling greatly relieved. It can be literally regarded as a return from a long long voyage. So the year 2017 was for me the last important period to steer my boat for the right direction to my final destination, and safely to my home.
The funny thing is that I don't feel any more strong temptation to go on-board again for another journey. It can be like having an daydream from the sense of loss that I did all I could have done in the journey. However I feel at the same time that I have some sense of accomplishment for my journey in the gentle and peaceful state of mind.
If we seek for truth, and then we should not be afraid of loosing. In the end, we might get something greater than what we loose.
If we want to become stronger, and then we should not be afraid of facing what we fear which might put you down. In the end, we might get a great strength in heart.
The Winter solstice for this year finished on 22nd of December. We are just slowly heading for the next Spring. What I need to do now is just to be patient quietly holding and warming up my seeds in my hands until I sow them in the Spring. Even for this harsh chilly weather in Osaka, I really appreciate it breathing in/out the morning air doing the radio exercise with the elder pals in the Nagai park.
Thank you so much for all of your kindness, understandings, friendships and supports in the year 2017.
I really do wish your best and Happy New Year 2018.
