Merry Christmas...
It's Christmas today. I've been listening to this song for weeks at a McDonald in my neighbor that they keep playing as a BGM.
On Christmas Eve, after my night shift, I directly went back to my home to get a Amazon package. I bought 3 sets of practical small wall shelf for my Shinto altar.
Then I bought some fried chicken and drinks for dinner.
In western countries, I'm wondering they are already on holidays, and I recall the days when I had a chance to see and experience the real Christmas atmosphere in abroad when I kept traveling as a tour escort.
In contrast to it, I'm celebrating it by myself in not the ritual manner, but in our Japanese style flexible manner to different cultural/ritual events.
We Japanese are becoming very busy as we prepare for welcoming the New Year. I myself also start preparing for it. I will do it well this year setting up the New year traditional decoration at home, cleaning my room, preparing for some dish in advance to put it in the fridge.
I want to make the New Year 2018 a flourish year, and to focus on doing only my interests. And so I'm doing whatever preparation I can do in advance.
As one of annual atmosphere, Mariah Carey's "All I want for Christmas is You" is being played a lot in the town. I already listen to it many times so far. Strangely, I didn't listen to the Japanese seasonal Christmas songs much which I am normally supposed to one or two at least. Maybe I don't go out much any more as I used to...
Anyway, this is not a Christmas song, but a very beautiful song sung by one of my favorite Japanese singer.
