The beauty of Red...
I still had time for the open campus seminar on the way to the Ryukoku University, I went to Fushimi Inari Shrine once again to find some nice objects for photography.
The first thing which surprised me was the external shrine hall of worship right after the main gate. The lumps with the design of 12 astrological star signs were being hung from the sealing.
And my sign was there, Scorpio.
There were so many tourist especially foreigners who looked not appreciating any of this sacred shrine, the atmosphere was a bit ruined. However there were several Japanese who were doing proper prayers at right places which made me very eased.
The main attraction of this shrine is "Senbon-Torii" (A thousand Shrine small gates). I tried to find take several nice objects for my photography getting a few mosquito bites... lol
Many youngs including foreign tourists were wearing colorful "Yukata" (Summer casual Kimono) to enjoy the atmosphere of Summer Japan. Normally we wear "Geta" (Japanese Traditional Sandal), but I noticed that a couple doing their own style of wearing "Yukata" with their sneakers on.
I better visit this place again as well in the off season, but not bad today for my photography.
