Summer’s heat...

On a very sunny hot day, 2 weeks ago which was still in the middle of 梅雨 (Tsuyu), or East Asian Rainy Season, I stopped by at a flower shop to buy a bundle of 榊 (Sakai) for my Shinto alter, and found a Sparrow's nest on the light above at the shop's entrance.

When I looked at the babies, I was so worried if they could survive safely under the poly tent which would've been filled with heat. Fortunately some more, or too much rain came back later for a week. However They might have lived relatively in a mild condition thanks to the rain.

On the way back home from my work this morning, I stopped by at the shop again for the new 榊 (Sakaki), and checked how they were. Well, they were almost grown up, and the shop owner said, "One is already practicing to fly".

"Amazing!".

I was just curious how they could grow up so fast only after 2 week. They was just babies 2 weeks ago!!!

After getting home, I took a nap for a while because I was a bit tired and felt better to take rest. And then I went to refresh myself in the swimming pool at a sport center near by. While training, I knew that my conditions was not so good today. However I managed to swim 1000m as usual, and felt a bit better.

In the gymnasium of the sport center, Osaka Elementary School Kids' Volleyball Tournament was taking place.

"Why not to have a look!"

When I sat on a audience seat, a girls final was just starting. Though they were physically less powerful than seniors, they were playing very well. Spike, Receive and Toss. It was very worth watching, and very impressive. The place was filled with the heat of audience, especially encouragement from their team mates parents.

The weather forecast says, the temperature in some areas were reaching around 38 degrees Celsius, and the effective temperature might have been around 40.

Well, Well, Well. This is what we have in each Summer.

Just wondering now how I can make this Summer very exciting, relaxing and amusing. A bit limited in what I can do now, but something can be found in the limits. Let's see...

I really sorry for the victims of the devastating floods in West Japan area. May they rest in peace....
